Check In Directions: As our Guest Rooms are located throughout the property, please do not unload your luggage prior to check in. To check in, go to the Registration Office located on Federal Street to receive keys and directions to your room(s). A manager is on duty at the Registration Office from 8:00AM until 4:00PM and will be able to assist you with check in during this time. If you think you will be arriving later than 4:00PM, please call and make special arrangements with the Concierge. Also, due to our historic property's nature, there is no elevator and we do not offer bell service.
Age Requirements: You must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to reserve a room on this website and stay on our property without a parent, legal guardian, and/or a spouse at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Deposit: A deposit in the amount of the first night’s stay plus applicable taxes is taken for all reservations upon booking.
When booking with a gift certificate, the first night's stay will be charged to your credit card on file. Upon checking in, your credit card will be credited for the amount of the gift certificate presented.
Check-Out: Is at 11:00 a.m.
Late Check-Out: Unless previously arranged, check-out is promptly at 11:00 a.m. If check out is later than the appointed time, a fee of $75.00 will be charged to the credit card on file.
Breakfast: A delicious locally sourced breakfast is included in your stay and served from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in our dining room.
Cancellation: We require one week's (7 days) notice for any changes/cancellations made to your reservation. Should you cancel 7 days or more prior to your reservation; your deposit will be refunded minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellation within 7 days will result in a forfeit of the deposit. No-show reservations or early departures will be charged the amount of the stay in full.
Children: Due to our boutique style setting, only children12 years of age and older are welcome at the Inn.
Room Occupancy: Room rates are for double occupancy. No more than three guests may be housed in a room. A supplemental mattress is available upon request for an additional fee of $35. This excludes the guest rooms in our Main House, as they are double occupancy only, and may not house more than two guests.
Quiet Time: Please honor quiet time, as some of the guest rooms are in close proximity to our public areas.
Quiet time is in effect from 10 pm- 9 am.
Pets: Pets are not allowed as overnight guests, unless the pet is a service animal.

Wireless Internet: All of our guest rooms come equipped with complimentary WiFi. However, sometimes our signal can become quite weak due to our beautiful location at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Library in the Main House has the best reception area for WiFi.
Television: The Fan room and the School House rooms offer cable television.Other rooms located in the Main House do not have television.
Cell Phone Service: There is little to no cell phone service in the town of Paris. Any parties trying to reach you during your stay with us should contact the Concierge directly. 540.592.3900
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in any public area or guest room, but is allowed on balconies and the terrace only when food service is not happening. Please ask the staff for an ashtray. Evidence of smoking in a guest room will result in a $250 charge to the credit card on file.
Items Left Behind: The Ashby Inn is is not responsible for any guest's lost or left behind items. Guests are solely responsible for their own property. All unclaimed items or found items turned into the staff will be placed in the Ashby's lost and found box. As a courtesy to our guests, the staff will make an attempt to reach out to the guest and notify them of the items. The Ashby Inn is happy to package and send articles left behind after check out. All costs associated with the shipment of the items are the responsibility of guest.
Group Reservations: For group reservations of 4 to 8 rooms, there is a 14-day cancellation policy. Please contact the Innkeeper for bookings of 9 or 10 rooms, as a contract will be required.
