"When I need a break from northern Virginia I head here for a fantastic French meal made from food grown and raised locally. In the spring and fall we cook up a fire in the fireplace in the room and read in the wing back chairs. We love to stay in the school house. Don't tell too many people or I won't be able to get a reservation. Service in all aspects is first class. Sweet little town. Nothing to do but be. But wineries around and hiking close if so inclined. Very romantic."

"A wonderful experience from start to finish. Intimate atmosphere, attentive wait and sommelier staff who made great suggestions based on our questions. This was for a birthday celebration and it hit the mark perfectly. I had the rabbit which was the best rabbit I have ever eaten and my boyfriend had the vanilla infused lobster which was fantastic. We also had the oysters baked with a sabayon sauce which were incredible - we were tempted to order repeat servings for each of us. Look forward to returning when we can enjoy the patio."
"Service and food were exquisite. The cream of chestnut soup with pickled ginger and bacon was among one of the best dishes I have had since I had the boudin blanc at Marcel's in DC. The portions are on the small side, but I left plenty well fed. I would suggest an appetizer, soup, or salad. The westward drive from the beltway through farmland and mountain is an added bonus."
